We had a little less time, but thanks to some purposeful striding we got a little further - as far as the entry to the loop trail in the woods at the far side of the heath where we found the predecessors of the multicolored boardwalk boards arranged in piles where it would seem from the warning signs they are awaiting one or more "controlled burns":
