Once again, the place looked very different from our summer and autumn visits. We had some teething problems with the shoes (and other clothing), but it was definitely a success. We maybe hiked a mile and a half, including some challenging terrain and mostly had a good time. E5N1 was excited to find that his snowshoes leave a print that looks like a TIE fighter.
I'm playing a complicated double-dare with the weather this winter. If there's no more snow, this snowshoe investment will seem like it jinxed it, but it will make my marathon training much simpler.
