Our third visit to Fuller Farm in the third different season. Today we went to try out our new snowshoes (except for mine: they had their first outing nearly six years ago).
Once again, the place looked very different from our summer and autumn visits. We had some teething problems with the shoes (and other clothing), but it was definitely a success. We maybe hiked a mile and a half, including some challenging terrain and mostly had a good time. E5N1 was excited to find that his snowshoes leave a print that looks like a TIE fighter.
I'm playing a complicated double-dare with the weather this winter. If there's no more snow, this snowshoe investment will seem like it jinxed it, but it will make my marathon training much simpler.
