So, all too soon, the end of the vacation is here. We have packed away our decorations and laid the tree (still looking like it could do another month) by the roadside for the town to collect.
We even removed the festive bunting that somehow avoided being taken down after last Christmas and remained in place all year. There is still plenty of evidence of Christmas gifts being enjoyed but it does feel like routine is about to return.
To stave off the back-to-school blahs, and because what else do you do when there's snow on the ground, we visited Gelato Fiasco for some ice cream on the way home from church (made possible by a gift certificate from our friend, D - thanks and happy birthday!). Fortunately, we don't have to wait long for another excuse to celebrate, as somebloggy around here has a birthday this week.
