Yesterday, as the early afternoon was rapidly turning to late afternoon, with evening not far behind, I took E5N1 and Exile #4 to the sledding hill. There were quite a few people there, but not enough to cause any issues. The snow was nearly three days old and had been well packed down - making for fast runs:
...as well as some bumpy rides.
Exile #4 mostly watched:
although she was persuaded to have one run - as did I.
E5N1 was more enthusiastic:

That dramatic faceplant on the icy snow brought our trip to an end. His face was a bit red, but it turned out later that he picked up a graze/burn on his cheek which looked quite angry today.
There was one more casualty of the trip:
I bought these Albany boots in Albany NY the first year we were here, so they just about lasted ten years - including several periods of being my every-day footwear, so they've done pretty well I think. E5N1 is doing fine too.
