Day 10.220: A fort and a hill

our last day trip took us into New Brunswick again. We visited a fort built by the French which then found itself in disputed territory between French Acadia and British North America and was captured by the British. Once again we were not sure that we were representing the good-guys!

We headed further west where we bamboozled ourselves at the Magnetic Hill - where we paid $6 for the privilege of driving down a small hill, stopping and putting our car into Neutral. The money pays for whatever magic pulls the car backwards back up the hill. It's actually an optical illusion, but knowing that didn't detract from the strangeness of the experience.
