Last night’s concert was fun and we got very lucky with the some of the more variable elements. It wasn’t too hot (as I imagine it can be some summer nights), - in fact the orchestra had heaters on stage. Nor was it too buggy, although the announcer took the opportunity to suggest an application of bug spray at the same time he asked for phones to be silenced. Exile #4 did, however, an absolutely massive beetle on the way home to make up for the scarcity of mosquitoes.
At home, we’ve been slipping and sliding around as it turns out the mats in our new car were spruced up with some kind of silicon spray to make them look as good as new. We’ve attempted to remedy the situation but it may take a few cleans before things get back all the way back to normal. In the meantime, we’ll just have to channel our inner Torville and Dean...
Oh, and there was some football...
