Day 15.204: Ball games on the beach

It's not unusual to see ball games on the beach, but they are usually being played by some combination of humans and dogs. On this occasion it was a seagull.

We watched it drop the ball and then chase it as it rolled down the sand quite near some playing kids:

After trying for some time to get at the supposed riches inside - or so it appeared - he feigned disinterest while we took one last photo and headed on our way:
