Day 15.213: Wasp eviction

At lunchtime today we discovered there was a steady stream of wasps coming and going through a hole in our siding.

We were fairly sure there was sizable nest and we were afraid it was in the small closet in the basement where the sump and sump pump are located.

Exile #2 persuaded me not to investigate - instead we called in the professionals. It turns out it was a large nest, but between the siding and the outside of the wall. It has now been dealt with - sadly at the wasps expense.

Anywhere but in the structure of the house I'd be inclined to leave them alone, but there are limits.
