Day 9.157: Mystery seed
At Scarborough Marsh on Sunday, I spotted this on the footpath. At first I assumed it was an insect cocoon of some kind, but as we discovered it was actually a seed pod.
We were not able to see where it had come from, nor have I been able to identify what it is since. I found various similar pods, but none with this kind of contents (unless its just an under-ripe one).
