January was another good running month for me - in fact it was only in second place (for miles run) by a whisker behind last March. My marathon is three weeks earlier than last year's so it's not quite fair to compare this year with last, but I'm happy with how it's going.
I'm spreading my miles over 9 or 10 runs a week instead of 6 which seems to work well for me - meaning I have a better balance of work, running, family time and sleeping than was the case at peak training last time around.
I have a 10 mile race next weekend, and after that, it's just another 10 weeks to marathon time.
