Day 8.010: Bye bye birchie
One day last summer I noticed that the birch tree just beyond our back yard had apparently spontaneously dropped all its branches in the night. It was obviously riddled with fungus and we wondered how long it could survive.
We might have worried more if it was bigger or in a position where it was likely to fall on anything.
