Day 8.016: The river before the storm before the calm before the storm

I took these on Saturday morning around dawn as I was out for a run. The ice was spectacular on the river. Then the snow came. I ran past here again this morning and the river ice is covered in a blanket of snow.

It had been windy in the night last night but by the time I was running it was very calm - and so it remained all day, but that is all about to change as we await the next snow storm. The story has it this one is going to be quite dramatic. We shall see.
